I have a stock tranny and I just purchased a "real" art carr 9'' comp. N/L 3200 stall. I was wondering how much fluid I will need to fill up the tranny after doing the converter swap?

i am going to use type f for firmer shiftsafter the rebuild. i use mobil 1 now and dont see any diffrence than regular dexron.

some useful information .the best fluid for a 2004r is ford type f and i pint of gm positraction additives .i have heard of guys using hydraulic fluid and this is just plain ignorant .put hydraulic fluid in a 200 degree frying pan and watch what happens ,then do it with type f and see what happens .THIS IS A FACT dont take my word for it go to the kitchen and see for yourself ..www.ckperformance.com

Comon Chris....... gimme a break.....

Chris that statement is not right. Tractor fluid has a flash point of 484 degrees. Atf, of any kind ,INCLUDING synthectic, is 375 or so. These qualities are all posted in the specs of the fluid. The frying pan thing is a joke. That is no test. No controlled conditions.

You sound like a Mobil 1 commercial....LOLOLOL:D

They have PROVEN in a LAB what the qualities are. You cannot argue that. Call Herguth Labs and ask. :D
