Just wondering........I was working on a buddys car this afternoon, and I realized........jeez, I use a lot of freakin zip ties! I havent personally been bored enough to count the ones on each of my cars, but Ill tell ya, its probably a ton! Just thought this would be a fun topic, lol.:D

You are getting VERY personal! That's like asking me how often I put "Just For Men" on my goatee.....OOPS! :o

I really need to get a life!

I just counted. (56) Talk about not having anything to do.;)

Gee, I never thought to count all fo them...but we used 18 just on my fuel pump hotwire kit!

After running at sebring for 35 minutes at a time, I can tell you that when I got back from each session I found a new hose blown off that I never even knew existed! :)

Good thing I brought a bunch of them!
Bob

We at Richs Auto affectionately and out of the utmost respect refer to zip ties as "Rankins".

Eric's car and his driving ability were/are great and that car ran like mad and he seemed at times to keep the heads together with JB Weld and zip ties henceforth we just call em "Rankins".

How many vacuum hoses are there? What ever that number is multiply it by two and add 34 for good measure. ;)

LMAO...so, so true. For anybody who's never seen one of Eric's masterpieces, you're missing out! :D Just so you know I'm not poking too much fun, I have a bunch of zip ties on the GN. I have actually thought I ought to go buy a variety of colors so at least they'd match whatever they were holding on/up. ;)

I've got one of those handy bundler (as seen on tv) zip tie
makers.
Don't laugh, this thing is pretty cool... it'll zip anything from a
small vacuum hose to a big bundle of newspapers, size doesn't
matter. I don't want to sound like a commercial but I use this
thing all the time and it works great.

I've got plenty of zip ties under my hood.

How true this is! Eric is probably the best driver I know, a true racer. Basically he'll do whatever it takes to get the car down the track. JB weld in the combustion chamber of the heads, yeah I've witnessed that. When I asked Eric if he thought it would hold his response was, "It's only got to hold for 8 seconds and I'll pull the head after every run if I have to!"

I really can't wait until he builds his next car, I can only imagine what he'll come out with this time!

man and i thought i was the only one:D :D :D

i have more zip ties in my motor compartment that anyone could imagine...my friends always make fun of me and say "my god you and the million zip ties you have in there!"

i just laugh...it keeps wires and things neat...when you have a custom high performance car you have to use these!;)

At least 50 on mine. Alot of wiring done neatly. braided fuel lines, battery relocation, etc. I try to zip wires every 6 to eight inches to keep them neat.

i lost count. its a good thing i have a unlimited supply of panduit products at work. anybody use a tiewrap gun to install them. there awsome and go on nice and tight.:D

only 3 i can think of.. wow and i usually use them for everything. loose hose clamp, use a zip tie.loose the little clip that holds the wastegate on, i guess thats duct tape but could use a zip tie(is there a better way? i hate that little clip.) loose a lug nut , use a zip tie.:D

Wow....my GN has a lot. Upwards of 40 maybe? But they're all black....does that qualify as tasteful use of zip ties? :D
