Alright the little dealership is asking $6,995 (obo) for a 2002 Regal GS. It has 157,600 miles on it. Interior and body look pretty good. What do you think I should offer the guy? Also, would the motor still be strong at that mileage? Any help would be appreciated!:) Heres a pic. Tell me what you think asap!

Miles to steep for price.

Find a local MEME or PEPE that croaked & buy that instead.

One local to me had 50k miles only 1500-

yea...I was thinking about that. I really want one in that color though.
Not really that much gs's near me. How much you think I should offer?

steeeeeeeeeeeeeep price. Find something else, or offer them 2500 for that one, IMO

Looks like my old car.....

Price seems high for that mileage. Looks decent overall.

NADA is your friend

$3500 wholesale (best )----$5500 retail. With that mileage the dealer probably has less than $2200 in the car. He is at least $1500 too high.

Too much, my 98' with 100k mi I think would only be worth $3k
I'd be more worried about the trans then the motor with 160k mi.

IMO Try to find one that some old people own(ed) and babied with low miles for a little more $'s

Way too much $ for the miles

I could have bought an 07 Impala with 105 K miles last night for $5500. Not just 1 but there were 3 of them going through the auction @ that price..

Kelly Blue Book prices:

Retail - $6445, 500 bucks less than asking. Never pay retail.

Private Party - Excellent - $5045
Average - $4570
Good - $3995

Trade In (Dealer cost) Exc. - $2925
Avg. - $2525
Good- $1900

That's a lot of miles. Let me guess, they said highway miles by a little old lady. Keep in mind, you'll want extra money for upgrades.
Have them show you the Car Fax and yes, they do have one, somewhere.

You find these supercharged Buicks and Pontiacs all day long for $2000 to $3500, with leather.
