Trying to deside on a 400, glide or 200. I know the 400 & glide will handle the power, but I wanna keep the overdrive.
How much H.P. have ya'll seen a BUILT 200 with the Billit Internals handle & live?
Thanks in advance :)

Chirs.. Kurtz has gone 9's with a 200.. for the power you will be making.. go with the 400....

i got high 10's out of mine but i kept breakin it. so i moved to a 400 with a trans brake and i'm loving every minute..

I thought about that. Shoot, I'm a dealer for gearvendor. But like ALL buick people, I'm weird in my own special way.

Warren, LC went 9.4's 10+ years ago w/200. (had to freshen it often between the broken input shafts  )

I'm just trying to get any opinion of someone who is running a 200 behind a Stage II with good success.

Power ?

Don't know if I would recommend doing this but I have a 2004R Built up to but not including the billet pieces. 10-0'S @ 140 MPH. 28 passes so far. I did weld the end of the forward drum shaft. Lonnie Dyers and I are waiting to see how far it will go. I know Lonnie and others have some running in the high 9'S. According to the power formula I am around 750 HP. I don't see me pushing it much faster so I plan on staying with the 200. Probably install some billet pieces this winter.

I am with Lee on the non billet parts build up. Trans must be a non lock up IMO.
We have one running that has been welded, and has run low 10`s, high nines and 140ish mph for many years without breakage. Probably not the smartest thing to be doing...but it works. Art Carr 9in converter, with a Stage motor.
I would keep things in the bottom tens to high nines.
Or, go for the gusto, and show us all how to get `er done!!!
Good luck,
Brian Hofer

actually

I just installed an AC N/L this past week. All my run up untill now were with a Precision Industries Multi Disc L/U. That is what puzzled Lonnie that I was not breaking some parts on L/U @ 6000 in 3rd.

Well I made my decision. Mike told me with all the billit parts, He could make it handel the power I plan on making. So a 200 4r it is. I'll keep ya'll updated.
