What if you have a dual nozzle system with the knob twisted all the way to the right?:D When will the Razor double pumper system be available?

Well when 2 aint getting the job done.. go to 3. The twins should get you easy 1K to the wheels worth of meth.. So past that.. we just add more.. and more.. well you know the drill :D

I'd hafta say that must be what it is... because when I first mash it and run it up in 1st then to 2nd I'll notice slight knock on the scanmaster but it goes away and stays at zero all the way thru 3rd.
When I mash it in 1st with the sticky tires, it will do a hard, grippy "power-burn" at the top of 1st and partway into 2nd before it grabs solid traction. It seems thats when I'm seeing the 1-2 degrees of knock.

"transitional" is a good way to put it.

Any cure for this ? or is it just something I live with ?

The deal is to see if its real knock or false. Period. If its real.. then it has to be addressed. If its false.. then ignore it is fine.

Example my old TTA when it would shift from 1-2 at 40 MPH over 27-28 PSI it would go kaaabooooommm.. knock sensor would show 30-40 degree's KR. from the band slamming around the drum.. was it real.. no. The fix.. easy.. get knock ignore up to 45 MPH added to the chip. No amount of alky was going to fix that.. or tuning.

If your car is leaning out going into boost then it will show KR.. some cars need more power enrichment than others.. but only way to really see this is using a wideband guage... and PE(power enrichment) is handled through the chip.. on a carburated car.. you add pump shot by changing the cam on the carb.. make sense?

That makes sense...

I think I will throw the street/non-alky chip back in it and give it a try. I didn't see any knock with that one.

Eric burns my chips without speedo/vss inputs, so speed won't affect it.
I think my alky chip just has more timing and less fuel enrichment in it than the regular ole 93 octane street chip.

It might be just my imagination, but I could almost swear the car ran better before I put the alky chip in it. All I did with that chip was add timing and leave the fueling alone. Maybe Eric will chime in here eventually and shed some light on the subject. I have no idea what the difference is between his street/alky chips other than the timing difference. (18 to 23 degrees)

I almost want to say it felt like it pulled harder on the top-end and revved cleaner.
Right now it 'sorta feels like it's pulling strong low-mid rpm, then laying over and done at 5000rpm.

Probably the only way I'm gonna get it ironed-out is to put it on the chassis dyno and hookup the wideband to it...

Just Got A Feeling

17 TO 22 DEGREES WILL BE THE TICKET BUT TO NARROW I'LL SAY 18 TO 21 FOR PUMP GAS/ALKY. 23/25 will feel better on the low end but like you said: "laying over" on the top end.

PS: every setup is a "little" different but mine (2004r trans, dual nozzle) with the regular TT street chip (non-alky) and "gutted" oem MAF sensor at the stock 18 degree setting in 3/4 (60 MPH & UP) runs well, think I'll try 17 and 19 in the future.

i have the original settings in my chip at 24 in frist and second and 20 in third...i ahve since upped it to around 26.5 or so and it feels a ton better out of the hole and down low i just scale it back alot in third for high boost and never had a prob...i have tried 28 in first and second and could hear a slight ping even though it felt good for a second, im sure i could tune that in but figured to leave well enough alone

So, with FAST, I would have to go in and log a run, then watch for my shifts, add timing there? Also was reading the alky tuning guide Razor wrote and it said to shoot for 25% enrichment, is that what I want the O2 correction factor to show? Cause I have been trying to get that to hit as near to zero as I can. While alky is spraying, right now its showing about -7-9%. Im also only running 14PSU, slowing turning it up and playing with the tune. I just started messing with the FAST GCT myself last night. Never done it before so Im trying to play it "safe"

You establish your pump gas tune with timing and air fuel where it has to be. Then you switch the alky on, the air fuel will drop.. you simply reduce injector duty cycle until you hit your target air fuel. Typically 10.8:1 is a good starting point. Your timing I would target 22-24 degree's. And work from there.

I cant write a book.. call me or have your tuner call me. I'll walk him through it.

My car also is faster with my street Lubrant 93 chip with only 20' timing than my TTalky chip with 23'+ timing. i too wondered if there is any differance bettween the two chips.

26/24 timing for my car at the strip and 23/21 on the street.....i lose about 2mph at the track with the low timing..my car has aways liked high timing..hth...Bob

Two things play with making HP. Timing and fuel. The wrong combinations will hurt performance. And it could be the TT chip was making the car way too rich.. or way too lean.. either would hurt performance.. and a comparison between one chip and another is apples to oranges. This is why wideband data is used to see where your air fuel is at.. once the car is dialed in air fuel wise.. then you start to play with timing. Then go back to tweaking air fuel.. then timing.. until you find out what the engine likes most.

24 in 1st and 2nd. 19 in 3rd. That was on a DIY alky kit with one nozzle.

Times in sig. 25lbs of boost. 1.60 60ft.
