Just wondering about this, I'm not planning on changing till I max out the TE-61 I have now. How big of a turbo can a 4.1 spool up with a 3200 converter and still be fun to drive on the street? The combo will be the same as below + a stroker kit, ported manifold, and aftermarket stock location IC. Plain and BB options are fine. I'm trying to figure out if I should restall the converter while the engne is out, or just leave it as is.

I spooled a te69 with no problems, actually really fast. If I had the option of doing the converter with engine out I would a whole lot easier MO

I had a te63 with a 3200 stall on a 4.1 and it spooled real fast. Ran low 7's in the 1/8th on 93 and 16# ,ran 6.8's @20# with some good gas added to the tank.

I am trying out a gt67 on a new 4.1 I just built in my turbo t. Should spool pretty fast too.

i have a 4.1 and a art carr 9' non-lock up set at 3200, i have a 70gtq mm dual BB turbo with an 85 housing and it runs very nicely on the street and at the track. i don't know how much of a difference a standerd 70mm will make?
it should run very nice.

I ran a stanard bearing 70 mm turbo with my 4.1, and it spooled very fast. Not as fast as a stocker, but fast enough that I had to back pedal it befor I got close to second. Thats way I went with a 72 bb this year. More power with no more lage.
