A stock engine in good condition will take a beating if you don't detonate the the engine. All my driving for the past 3 years has been WOT 1/4 passes on a stock engine. This STOCK engine has propelled my GN to low 11's and occasional 10 second runs without fail.
14psi is way too low for oil pressure at cruising rpm. If you don't have 35-40 +psi your engine won't live long. Find and fix the problem. These engines are designed to run with tight clearances. Get the factory recommended clearances set right and this little V6 will pay you back big time.
Run the best gas you can find, run a knock gauge, scanmaster, or something to let you know if detonation is occurring and turn the boost up!
These cars were made to be driven hard and their reputation is well earned.
