The question is how to add fatrory cruise control to an 86 T-type ordered with cruise control delete.

I want to add the factory cruise control to my 86 T-type. I know I need the servo, Servo mounting bracket, cable, & turn signal stalk w/cruise, etc...

I looked real quick and there is no wireing under the hood for the servo, which is weird you would think GM just made the same harness for every option to simplify things. I have not yet looked under the dash to see if the wires are there or not for the turn signal stalk.

Anyway, does anyone know how in depth I would have to go to wire this in?
I am also trying to find a wireing diagram for the cruise control circuit but can't seem to locate one if anyone has one or knows where to find one that would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for the help:)

Okay, I have never added cruise to a TR but I did sell some parts to someone who did and here's what I can remember. There is a seperate wire harness for the cruise servo. It is the same for all 86-87 Regals so you should be able to get one off of a NA. It also has a vacuum hose taped to it where it passes through the firewall. There should already be a power connector under the dash for this harness to plug into. Thats it other than plugging in the switch and module. I would try to get the factory shop manual as it has the illustration showing the routing for the electrics and vacuum. Another thing since you have to get a used wire harness take a good look at how it is hooked up on the car before you remove it as that will show you how to install it on your car. The only componets that are turbo specific are the module and servo. Everything else you can use off the donor. Eric Fisher

Some other parts you will need if you didn't already know are the cable from the T-body to servo and the servo mounting bracket and these are also turbo specific. Eric

I replied to this at tbs.com hopefully it was your question.

If not there is some info. there. :)

Off the normal path here---------------------but--contact your local stereo/electronics store and see what they will do a factory appearing CC for.I used to do these for a living. We did them for under $250 bucks--you could not tell the diff. and they worked great.Just a sugg.
