I have changed everything on this car and it will not shift properly and I get knock. The trans is new a well as everything else. I suspect a improper tv cable adjustment. Any thoughts ? Brad

Brad as I know it to adjust the TV cable. You need to press the button near the top of the cable and pull the cable all the way towards you till it stops then release button first then cable. Now go inside vehicle and plant your foot to the floorboards. You should hear the cable click. Now it is set. I just did it on my car. Not very scientific but that's what I have been told on TR boards.

Brad,
Did you try to lower the boost back to the "setting before the dp"?
You also may want to add fuel in the chip to compensate for the boost increase.

Jerryl- I am tuning to the new boost level. The car does not want to shift into third at WOT. It waits and then I get knock on the shift. Any thoughts? Thanks- Brad

you can adjsut the cable in increments
each click in cable changes the trans pressure 5 psi according to my trans shop
i just dont remeber if you want to shorten or lengthen
about the knock check your tps at wot to see if it has lost volts there
it happens when you adjsut cable and its too tight

Brad my bad. In my last post it should have said to pull the cable all the way back towards the left fender.

MoeJr- I will have to say that your advice was very very very good. My car now hits second gear real fast and shifts into third gear just as fast. Third gear is where the power is. Thanks Brad
