Note: This is NOT a discussion thread about "the best converter", "LU vs NLU", "Fuel economy", "Cruise RPM", "which vendor", "what section of unicorn bone", etc, etc. as there is plenty of discussion on this already. 
The performance documentations of the 9.5 PTC NL over the last few years peaked the interest of some to convert their transmissions from LU to NLU.
I admit to be one of those people
. . . . and will be the first to disclose my lack of knowledge about transmissions.
As such and as usual, a search on this very subject yielded some nice threads.
It would have been MUCH easier for those who have not studied the internals of the 2004R, to visualize the basis changes, if “only” there were some pictures. I know someone has a transmission open on a bench. ( hint
