I'd like to disconnect my power antenna, so it doesn't go up/down when turning the radio on/off.
I haven't used the radio in quite a while, because I wanted to avoid having the antenna quit.
For now, I'd just like to listen to cassettes.
Appreciate any suggestions.

You can either wire in an on/off switch to the power antenna wire from the back of your radio [method i chose] or you can unplug the antenna at the passenger side upper wheel well by the blower motor... if no one posts , i will take pics for location tomorrow... hth

I went with the on/off switch on my car . Works great. I only listen to the radio 1-2 times a month, No need for the antenna to come up every time I listen to a cd.

Aaron and Len,

Thanks for the info. I may wire in a switch when I have some extra time (whats that...), but for now will try to find that wire and unplug it.
If you get a chance to take a picture and post it, or even just tell me
the color, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks - Rich

Here ya go hope this helps.
