I've heard that the DS connector can be pushed too far onto the back of the ECM. Can someone explain how to know if this happened? I'm asking because BLMs in the far right cells of the display are in the 119-121 range while the others are in the 126-129 range.

I made a 3/8" spacer behind the connector that cured this problem. Anything nonconductive is fine.

You're not suffering from that problem just by a few BLM cells different from others.

Usually when the connector gets pushed on too far, it's VERY obvious, from a terrible running car, to "limp home" mode, to no run, etc.

Thanks WSLN 6 and TD. One last question - Should I try to get the chip burner to dial in the off cells?

Only if you're intimately familiar with the chip's tables, and their inner workings. It took me several years of studying the chip's tables, etc. before I even attempted to burn my own.
Burned my own chips for several years before I found a better solution (that which I now use).

Besides, none of your cells are anywhere near being out of tollerance. They are in fact doing what they're designed to do.

BTW, those cells on the right side (cells 7 and 11) are the "highway cruise" cells, and many time do operate at a range a little lower than the others.

There are far too many people that get paranoid when their BLM cells don't hover around 128.
They're not going to. Too many external variables! If you think there's a problem with your BLM cells, I would highly advise you not get involved in burning your own chips.

Not meaning to get nit picky, no offense intended. Just need you to understand what's happening in the cells.

As long as the cells are in the adjustment range (128 is no adjustment, above 105 and below 150 it is still able to adjust) it should be ok. I would talk to Mr Turbotweak to confirm, maybe try his forum on Turbotweak.com
