I am going to have my car buffed in about a week. I would like to remove the Grand National badges along with the 3.8 SFI badge off of the hood. How would I do these safely without harming the paint? I heard a heat gun works but to be careful but I wasnt sure if there was a safer way to do it. Thanks

Brendan

Use fishing line. wrap around you hands and use in a sawing motion. than use your fingers to get off the majority of the tape and some laquer thinners to remove the glue

Just a caution, if you have original paint on your car, it is lacquer, and it will come off on your rag if you use lacquer thinner. Lacquer never cures.

3M makes a product called adhesive remover. Works great. You can get it at your local automotive paint store. Or goof off works alright and you can get that at wal-mart.
