Anybody out there know how to tell if a 3-bar map sensor is good or bad? I have Turbolink with the boost sensor option. Worked great a year ago when the car went in for major surgery. Got the car back a few weeks ago (don't ask) and now Turbolink doesn't detect boost anymore. Yes, Turbolink is set up correctly. Is there any way to test the sensor?

I would think a simple back-probe of the MAP sensor signal wire would indicate whether or not it is functioning. I would turn the ignition switch on (no need to start the engine, *I don't think*), and connect a voltmeter to the MAP sensor signal wire. Then connect a hand held vacuum pump to the MAP sensor vacuum connection and start applying vacuum. S/B changes.

I don't know what the specs are as far as how much hg = "X" volts, but I would bet Ken Mosher would know. Drop him a line.

As it turns out, my mechanic had disconnected the 3-pin connector at the TPS. Hard for it to work when it's not hooked up, eh?
