How to test boost solenoid?

Is there a way to test the factory boost solenoid and waste gate actuator? I just bought this 86 GN and I haven't driving it much because of 28 year old factory tires. I have tires coming soon so I am just going over things before I start this project Thanks

Put regulated compressed air into the wastegate actuator and it should start to move at about 10 psi. pressure and not leak.

Put 12 volts on the solenoid and it should pass regulated (15psi.) air freely from one port to the other, and not pass any air with no voltage to it.
