Howe ported heads

Anybody know anything about flow numbers or performance of these heads? Years back Bill Anderson said these were one of the best flowing heads out there. Thanks

My heads are done my Howe and have flow numbers. basically something like 310 on the intake and 265 on the exhaust with 2.08/1.6 valves.

Chris Howe ported my heads as well and they have epoxy in the bottom of the runners as well. The "roof was raised" on the intake and heads to get a more direct flow to the valves. Chris was doing heads for Jon Kasse down in GA. Engine Master winner and gigantic big block builder several years in a row.

I'll second that. Steep valve angles generally require tall ports to help the short side and promote tumble. I'm sure he did it on purpose. Chris has been doing work with Kasse in recent years. My ASA take-offs were done by him for Wegner's shop in the early early '90's. I have contact info if you want to pm me.

Question for unboosted, how much hp are you making with that combo?

No where near what it should ... 11.50's at 3250lbs. New cam grinder says it's losing 75-100 hp out the exhaust from excessive overlap. Shooting for 10.80's in July heat.

Your running this on alky? If so i would say you don;t have enough compression or rpm (8000+)..it should be like 14.5:1...these heads need some squeeze to make them work..
