I did not now you could leave the cam sensor in while removing the front cover. No adjustment needed then when its reassembled?

I use Casper's tool to adjust when re-installing and placing the sensor back in after the cover is back on the car.

Well, I am going through the same situation. I recently got this thing running again after a rebuild. I used the Pioneer cover--from China no doubt. In any case, I have a significant leak in more or less the same area, and have carefully eliminated all the ususal suspects. I am now operating under the assumption that this thing has a porous casting or minute crack, allowing a significant amount of oil to leak from the pass front of the cover, onto the oil pan rail, down on the chassis, etc. I will be replacing the cover next. Thanks, Counterman.
