Does anyone have a blend door cable to measure? That is the cable from the hot/ cold selector on the controls to the blend door lever behind the glove box.
I need overall length end to end.

Looks like its a little over 16".

Yes thank you mine is 16 3/8 but it is "too long" can you measure how far that metal clip that goes on to the blend door lever is from the end?

Is it possible to "route"this thing incorrectly?

I re measured and it is 16 3/8. My metal clip is 5/8 from the end of the cable to the start of it. I'm not sure if that's correct though.

I appreciate it thanks.

I thought the end at the control lever was fixed in a clip and the end that was at the blend door had a clamp that you could slide the cable through to adjust the affective length.

All I know since the two tabs were broken I decided to replace it with one from a different car I had laying around. I'm having issues now, I threw the broken one out already and seems this one I have is "too long" it is from a Regal but I thought these cables were the same from N/A and turbo...Is that right?

I had to remove the radio and look at what was happening when I slid the selector arm. The problem wasnt the cable it was the retaining clip on the HVAC controller. It was broken and allowed the cable jacket to move all over the place instead of actuate the cable.
I swapped it with one I had laying around much better now.
