watsup guys i have a 79 malibu with 87 drivetrain.....im having issues with the fuel system....to start of im not getting any fuel pressure wat so ever..i changed the pump about 4 times now ..took my lines out to check if they were pinched and nothing.replaced the fuel filter and nothing,so i ran it straight with no filter...i have a fuel pressure guege and a accufab fuel pres reg...i here the pump go on and it does give me some gas becuase i took the line of the fpr and gas comes out but not in pressure wise.....but when i left the line connected to the fpr and i took it of the fuel rail it would not drip one drop of gas. ..so yea any help would be great or ideas...thats all i need to do to have my car running that ive been working on for like 2 years....thanks tone also wen i put gas in my doghouse it starts right up so it has to be something with the fuel.....injectors are new

Reverse the wires going to the pump, they may be backwards.

If I understand you correctly it almost sounds like you have the fuel lines swapped somewhere. Did you make some custom lines for your hybrid swap? You should not have the pressure line from the tank going into the FPR, it should go to the front of the fuel rail. And the return line goes from the FPR to the tank.

fuel lines

okay heres how I have the fuel lines hooked up . Okay from the pump their is 3 lines which they face like this one of the tubes is closest to the frontof the car one is in the middle and one is closest to the back .if you don't no what I'm talking about its outside of the gas tank were the lines start. So the line closest to the back I have it rand to the fuel pressure reg on the drivers side of the fuel rail and I have the return line wich is closest to the front of the car rand to the passenger side fuel rail. so how should they be

ASSuming the sending unit from a Malibu and GN are the same....

From the sending unit, the rear most line is for your charcoal cannister. The middle one is pressure. The front one is return.
Or if you're looking down on it, from left to right....it goes charcoal cannister, return, pressure.

So once you figure out the hard lines from the sending unit at the tank, the hook ups go like this:
The pressure line- it goes to the front of the rail on the passenger side.
The return line- it goes FROM the regulator to the tank.
The charoal cannister line- if you still have it, connect the line. If not you can leave it unhooked, as long as its vented you will be fine without it.

Maybe my kick ass art skills will help...;)
