Please see signature. I haven't weighed car yet but I believe it should be right at 3000LBS. I currently have a turbo 350 in it, and the 9 1/2" converter which flashes to 2800rpm's then the boost starts to barely build (about 2psi) stall goes to about 3K RPMS'S and the front tires start sliding and I cant hold it. Based on signature and turbo( I bought this turbo off a board member and it is a Precision stealth "70" turbo with a .63 Exhaust A/R) can you please help me to decide on a tranny/converter. I plan on racing this car alot at the 1/4mile(I do street drive a little also). I am set on using a trans brake. I am told if I install a brake in this 350 it should raise the stall of my current converter a minimum of 400rpm's? is that true? Sorry it took so long but my question is: Do I trans brake the 350 I have(I am looking at about 1K for the brake and drum/sprag upgrades) or do I have a powerglide built with a brake. I know the powerglide will cost abit more but then I can sell my 350 to offset the cost. I checked previous posts and I see alot of people do not recommend powerglides in a GN, But I figured I would ask due to the lighter weight of my hybrid. Thanks, James
PS if anyone has used this turbo please let me know of your experience with it and what is it's performance potential in this lighter car. Thanks:biggrin:
