Has anyone made one? I seem to always need one for changing wheel bearings but don't want to invest that much cash in to something I might use once or twice again. HAs anyone made one? Pics would be great if you have. Thanks

+2 Harbor Freight - I can get the steel for nothing at work from the scrap bin.
By the time I figure out all the cuts, make the cuts, and weld everthing up I could save my time and just go pick up a HF press. Would have to go there there anyway to get the bottle jack as I don't have a spare laying around.

X3 on the HF Press.

I bought a 12 ton unit about 15 yrs Ago. You'll be surprised how handy it is once you have one if you work on your own stuff. I have used it for several front end bushing and ball joint r&r projects. It is great for pressing races in and out. I even used it to put new disks on the front of the wife's dd as it required pressing out and in all the studs to get the disks on and off the hub.

Plus you can trade your press use for other services or maybe beverages of your choosing.
