2007 Santa Fe 2.7. Auto. 65k miles.

At slow speeds the SF seams to hesitate/sputter a bit. No check engine lights are on. Any advice? Thanks.

do you take it to a dealer? Sometimes there are updates to the ecu that need to be done. we have the same engines in some of the kia's, can't remember if we have tps issues with those engine's. Might be worth taking it in and seeing if there's any TSB's.

How is the fuel pressure? Does it fire right up or does it require a little cranking when you start it?

It does fire right up. I thought it may be the TPS. If I get a TPS...is it a plug and play deal or do I need to adjust it like our Turbo Buicks?

I had a leaky injector(s) on a vehicle that exhibited those symptoms I described. But if yours fires up probably something different. Tps could have a bad spot on it. Does it have a maf? Do you have a vom meter? I dont know what signals should be sent to the Tps and maf but you could check. Google is your friend to see what should be read.

Tps is plug and play. We have a tsb on some of them and the tps cost like $3.00 because it is a common problem, this mostly effect 3.3 and 3.5L engines.

I have looked online. Looks like about $50 for a TPS. I $3 a typo or do you know where to get a cheap TPS?

The tps for 3 is for sodona mini vans. A lot of hyundia and kia parts are the same. Ill try and check tomorrow on a price.

They said the price is like $4.00 . Get me the hyundia part number and I can see if ours will work.

I spoke to a Hyundai dealership. They said there is no separate TPS. The throttle body is one piece and cost $500. This is BS. How can Hyundai make the TB and TPS one piece? How often does a TB go bad? Sensors go bad ....not the TB. The part number was 35100-3E100

Our price is 415 on the TB, its one peice. I would go to the dealer and verifiy there is a problem first. Or find some one with a graphing meter and look at the waveform the sensor is producing. No sense in throwing 5 bills down the drain.

That's drive by wire, no throttle cable? TPS should set a code with all the redundancy in sensors. Don't overlook a dirty throttle bore, can act the same way as a bad TPS.

I'll clean out the TB first. Hopefully I can find someone to test it first. At first I was thinking......just get a $50 TPS and cross your finger. Thought it would be a cheap trouble shooting technique.

No codes, put a scanner on anyway and double check .
they are famous for the variable valve timing problems.
THe oil control valve goes bad or gets clogged
