I think I should probably stay away from the turbo buicks for a while. A couple months ago I got T boned in my 86 T Type, and just now today, I was towing my 87GN replica and I had the chain wrapped around the tow package, some how the tow package broke off and it sent my car down my gravel road and it smashed into my barn at about 20 miles an hour. I could not believe it but I shouldn't have been stupid enough to attempt it by myself, but dear lord what are the odds of that happening? I can't decide what I want to do yet with my two wrecked buicks but I just needed to vent a little bit. These cars have broken my heart twice already.

maybe its a sign from the buick god.

time to go to a tta or some kind of a hybrid.

the buick god doesn't like me much either either, he does tollerate me though so i can't complain.

TTA?! WHAT! I declare his next car to be a Geo Metro! ;)

Just kidding. Sorry to hear of your misfortune there. Maybe next time try to be a little more careful when dragging a car around. Something about a chain wrapped around the tow bar doesn't sound so safe.

How bad is the car anyway?

I feel your pain
when I have cars I have several cars if one doesnt work they all dont work and if they get banged up they all get banged up get the picture

89 convertible vette just got it tuned from 396 stroker and get it broken in and wipe out sorta luckily driving made less damage my luck just when I thought I was cruising with the top down oh well

stock gn daily driver changing out parts wound up in the air that was 2 years ago

third and last gn was mint new paint the works freshly done gets 3 hits in the same week all different days
The heavens looked down and made sure they got all the angles covered 2 doors and front bumper grill

stick in there it could be worse you could have no cars.....

The driver side front fender, bumper, grille, radiator, front end, are all destroyed, at least I have my other wrecked one to grab parts off of. I don't know if it will even be worth it though because it just has a 350 in it. for the record, it was just a regular regal, not anything special. so it's not like I destroyed a GN. I think I am just going to sell both of them and start over (yet again) and not let myself do anything too stupid with them. Look for two wrecked buicks on ebay minus engine and tranny in the next couple weeks. I think I will hold onto the turbo six but also sell the 350 and turbo 350 tranny.

Shame on you for having anything that even resembles a GN with a 350 in it. :p
Seriously though, it happens you can't let it get ya down. If you're in the saint louis area, you oughta be able to get a JY clip for a decent price, if not I'm within a few hours and there are a ton of regals around that'd have something suitable.
Mortal men have mortal flaws, people don't grasp that to a large degree. Bad things happen, best to move forwards and maybe learn something from them.
If you're gonna keep that T-type motor, I also go with the hybrid vote. Find something that's really outa the box.

I was definitely thinking about a hybrid. but I was wondering if anyone knew if a front end off an 86 t type would bolt up to the 84 or not? because if so, that would probably be the best deal in the world because the t type has a jacked up rear end but a kick ass engine.

I want to cry. 2 TRs in such a short time. I am sorry to hear about the cars. Maybe you should make a GN powered monte then when someone comes up and says "nice monte carlo" you dont have to get mad you can just say"thanks" Harry

I am going to fix the one that got the messed up front end with parts from the old one and stick the turbo six in it unless I can find a good deal on a rolling chassis. It will take forever because I barely make any money and dont have the time, but eventually I will have a pretty nice car.

what year is that 350, I'm near saint louis and may be interested in it depending, I'm lookin for one with "3 bolt" heads (TBI)

I'm not sure what year the motor is, if you know where to look for the number, I would gladly do it for you. also wasn't sure about the 3 bolt heads or not, the heads are ported though. I guess I'll give you the run down, it has anti-friction coated pistons, bored 30 over, less than 10 thousand miles since re build and it has a four bolt main. The only downfall is that I don't have any reciepts for any of this because the guy that originally had the work done did the majority of it himself. It was definitely a fast motor though, I only had one wheelie peally on but it broke 'em loose like none other and once the secondaries opened it was gone. if you're still interested email me at vanillaice782@yahoo.com. Also if you need a tranny I have a turbo 350 with a 3400 stall. nothing too special about it besides that though that I know of.

HEY !! Leave the little cars alone!

I think he should get a Firebird. Finding donor Metros ain't gettin any easier.

Be interested in racing a Geo Metro for titles??:D

That sounds like a decent setup, I was wanting some sort of junk 80s smogger POS to play around with while I saved up some for a Turbo 6 motor this summer, not a decently built 350. Thanks for the info and time on that.

Hybrid transplant

Hey, What about a Volvo with a roll cage?: And remember Please drive safe.:D

Do not feel bad, been hit twice in ohio by drunks and uninsured. I feel your pain. Hang in there though, it will get better. I am learning a new skill though. Body work is not hard, just very time consuming and you need to be very picky to get it done right. I am having a ball at it though.

things are looking up, I'm going to sell my lc 2 to my brother and that might get me enough money to get it painted, I'm going to paint it silver and put my maroon t type interior. its gonna be bad, or atleast that is the best color I have come up with so far, was also thinking about a cop theme, give me some ideas.

If you're actually looking I know a guy that can get you a light bar and sirens or any other small light you want (ambers of course, well if you're volunteer FF or something like that blues)
