I could care less about the car. It's the comment possibly directed at its owner and occupants of the house that ripples my nipples.

This is a realtor for the interested party, not mine. My guy is top notch.
I have decided to let it go. But if it happens again I won't stand by and let my character have darts thrown at it without rebut.

Here's a nice house owned by a caring and nice family.

Here is a nice house owned by some white trash couple.

Which one would you buy?

Dude you just hit the point! He was showing your house in order to showcase a listing he possibly has in his stabile. Wich means more money for him rather than co broke on your house.

Most, not all realtors are just as bad as car salesmen.

In my experiences they have been far worse. They seem to think the house just sells itself. The last time we dealt with a realitor, they did nothing. For the 6% com. they didn't keep the house clean, grass cut, I mean nothing. They just walked a few people in and out and that's about it. I ended up selling the house myself.

It is becoming more and more rare to find professional salespeople in any line of work. All they seem to do around here is take bids on places, and try to drive up the price. The last realitor I called about a piece of land kept asking what I thought it was worth, please make an offer. Why? so they can take it to someone else and show them what I am willing to pay to try to raise them up. I politely explained that I was not there to bid the offer up, but to buy the place. The only way I ever make an offer is to the sellers directly, sometimes that has to be in the presence of their realitor.

I've poked around in a few houses lately to check out what I can get for my money. The realtors that I've met have been shockingly uninterested in the property. Asking the simplest questions they had no answers for, they had to scan the sheet to see if it had gas or oil heat. Only one was honestly prepared to answer questions and present the property without "hard selling". Too bad there was no way I could affort that house. You would think with the market stinking as it is they would be dying to be as helpful and knowlegable on the property as possible to sell it.
The salesperson probably already knew the people looking at your house weren't going to buy it. The realtor probably wouldn't have insulted your car (and you) if the buyers were really interested in your house.

Our realtor battled it out with a prospect and their realtor about our foundation. They said we had a bad slab. Our guy let them sweat it out a little and then informed them about the absence of a slab in a pier and beam house. The funny thing is that their own realtor didn't know the house he was trying to sell was P&B. There was a crack in a run of about 10 bricks on the drivers side of the house - which is not on the P&B side, nothing structural.
