I am almost 15 and I just joined these forums and when I was 12 or so my Uncle Joe decided to give me my first Turbo car; his project-to-be at the time because he found a Brown 1987 Turbo Regal Limited and he decided to buy that instead of fixing the Sage Green 1985 Buick Turbo Limited! All that it needs is a front clip and a paint job (with a few other odds and ends that need done) and that is it. As it sits it is a rolling chassis(atually an 87' GN chassis) with doors roof and rearend of the 85' Limited, but that also include a handfull of promises that my Uncle and father have made because I am counting on a motor and tranny coming from them so I really hope they come through! I have already started saving buko bucks for it and I am starting to work on it finally in a month or so. But I really appreciate all they have given me so I just wanted to say that I am the luckiest kid in the world. Thanks:D

good luck

I was the same way when i got my first Turbo buick it fun but its expensive make sure you keep on saving

Sounds great! But don't just sit around waiting for your Pop and Uncle to say come with me and lead you through the process.
Show them you are serious, be proactive.
Get a job and start saving your money. Let it be known that this is your intention and purpose for the next few years - to fix up and drive an high HP Regal.
At 15 years old, you are old enough to take these actions; and in order to be taken seriously as a thinking (young) adult, you NEED to do these things.
Good luck.

So true about the keep saving part. I was in the same situation, my father got me an 84 T-type for my 17th birthday. Many thousands of dollars later I knew how to drive and maintain the car. Just when things were perfect some crackhead stole it and I havent seen it again.

Yep, hot as they come too. Quick car but when I got roasted by my friends 87 I just had to have one. I ended up with another hotair which died and then moved on to f-bodies. I am now working on getting back into G-bodies.

Good luck to ya man. I hope your luck turns out better than mine. I'm 18 and on my second GN. I was forced to sell the first one, but I'm planning on keeping the 87 hardtop I just got for as long as possible! My advice to you would be to read as much as you can everyday, be religious about your maintenance(take care of that before performance!), and get a scantool and oil pressure gauge first thing. Be careful, take care of it and have a good time.
