Ok, so I didnt get any beforehand temp data, dont have a Raytek and was in a hurry to get this project done.
What I did was take a smap Spal electric fan and mounted it to the backside of the stock I/C. I figure I am benefitting in the following ways
1. Less mass on the snout of the crankshaft
2. This thing pulls a ton of air across the I/C
3. Less drag on the engine
who knows what else.
Anyway, the fan fit inside between the outer edges on the surface of the I/C. The mounting points even lined up with the rows of fins. There is approx 1/4-1/2" of clearance all the way around the fan with the harmonic dampner. Have had no probs at 22# boost so far. I modified the original connector on the fan and made it GM weatherpack and then made the second harness for the power and ground the same way. I removed my fan resistor and hooked the I/C fan in with the radiator fan and they run on high speed only with signal from the ecm. With my backyard testing procedure I found that the up pipe IS noticeably cooler to the touch after a spool up now than it was before. I also have a slight bit less of KR. Dont know if that is the fan or something else but it seems that it is attributed to the fan. I may have to put a screen on the I/C scoop because the scoop is like a vacuum cleaner and I may get some debris in there now. This fan really PULLS SOME AIR. I will try to get some pics this weekend or something and put them up if anyone is interested, or if anyone nearby wants to come take a look see feel free.
