Looks like he fell in love with the car and bought it against his better judgement. I always bring a friend to point out flaws and such.

Too bad, he checked a lot of things but should have checked for matching VIN's easy to forget when you fall in love with the car.

Too bad, crooks suck.

Well, the guy types a lot, I finally skipped to the end cuz I pretty much could guess it...all that trouble and he coulda done a $30 carfax....kinda stupidity..he was too interested in the nit picky wheels and BS to look at the stuff that matters..either case it sux to be him now.

That's an unfortunate story. I truely feel for that guy. Hopefully he will be able to recover his money at some point and the courts will punish Montoya for being a scumbag.

Well I finally started coming down from the coffee, landed in Ft Lauderdale. Hotter than blazes, I was standing on the curb waiting for Montoya, I started to realize that I was wet, like I just got out of the shower. That’s what the air feels like down there, hot, humid, and hard to breathe.

welcome to florida!

i havent finished reading the story, so i dont have a reaction yet, but man this thing is right in my neck of the woods. i think i have actually seen that car around...

hahaha get pictures and post them for that m3 owner to see. i was planing to go to UTI, i have talked montoya before on several ocasions. the guy seamed nice enough but did get irratated at me. o well, nashville auto diesel here i come.

it cost him 2000 in expenses and wrecked my.....????

where is the rest of that sentance?

oh well, sucks for that guy with money burning a hole in his pocket-

should have bought a buick:p

This is definitely an unfortunate circumstance that could have easily been prevented. My grandfather taught me an expression "When this is hard (points to wee wee), this is soft (points to heart). When THIS is hard (points to heart), this is soft (points at wee wee again). When I bought my first TR, I went out of state with cash and a hard on and bought the car without thoroughly checking it out. Turned out to have bad heads and suspesion. When I bought my GN, I brought my non-hotrod loving dad with me and let HIM talk me into buying the car.

Never EVER go to look at a car without someone else, preferably someone that doesn't want you to buy the car. They'll point out all the flaws. This guy knew the car was a lemon but proceeded to buy it anyway. The car is probably gone now, either in a warehouse for evidence or parted out by the insurance company. No way is it back on the road...the bondo welds aren't quite up to standards.

No way man, some of the best advice I've EVER heard...and I use it almost every day. Saved me from a number of bad deals.
