My Limited has the same style CD player (that is shown on the top left of that radio pile)........................No, its not stock for the 80's Regal. It came out of a 90's GMC. I actually have better sound out of that than the original stocker. Real good stock head upgrade :D

Stock 1987 Grand National Concert Sound II radio picture

I saw the Symphony Sound and thought of a Caddy Cimarron immediately.

The stock radio from my 1987 Buick Grand National w/Concert Sound II can be seen here:

...please click the link below for the picture... it was too big to upload

I hope this helps. :-)

thanks guys I located a mint condition one from a board member:)

Grumpy that is hilarious.......you have a nice stock Buick parts warehouse going there ;)

the top end factory radio in the gn said symphony sound on it.

sorry, the symphony sound is caddy only. ours is concert sound 2,which is only listed on the doors. its not a special stereo (cs2) because gm ran 10 ohm front speakers to keep the ohm load high.

I know this is an old thread, but would someone be able to tell me if this is correct for an 87 Grand National? I have a set of stock brackets and they wont even fit onto it. Any help is appreciated.

Would anyone happen to have one of those EQ knobs laying around?? I am missing one for my GN. ---Keith

Nope it's not the `87 GN CS II radio, the chrome highlight trim is a dead giveaway.
ericmccann has the original radio pic attached in the #8 reply.

WRONG!...there were two styles of the top-of-the-line radio code "UX1". One has a silver thin border around the main unit and the other does not. EITHER ONE IS CORRECT! (See Kirban's Guide to 1986 and 1987 Buick Turbo Regals" on page 166).

Interesting. Does Kirban explain what determined the style you received or what it a model specific thing? This unit that I have I am questioning since my stock brackets wont fit onto the side of it. Does anyone have any side pics of a stocker?

That picture of the radio that was just posted looks identical to the one in my 86.

What does the RPO code UM6 radio look like?
RPO code "UM6" was indeed available in a GN. It was for an AM-FM stereo radio with casette player, seek and scan, auto reverse and digital clock. It did NOT have an equalizer.

Unfortunately no he doesn't... But by looking at the radio picture you posted earlier (RPO code "UX1" by the way), I don't understand why the brackets won't fit on it...
