After a new filter, fluid change and some exploritory valve body inspection, I have come to the conclusion that there is nothing I can do.

No matter what I do to the TV cable nothing changes. I have a delayed 1-2, 2-3, and a ****ping 75 mph before OD kicks in. I have a hellacious flare between 2-3 0 BUT all of the actual engagements feel firm without slip.

My next quest is to check pressures ans see if they are within spec.

Before I removed this thing (and did nothing to it) it was fine - shifted great. The only thing added to the car was a Hurst Quarter Stick. I am thinking there is some type of calibration of the shift cable that I am missing.

I have "racked" the TV cable at 1500 rpm or so to try and free things up....no change. Replaced the TCC solenoid (cuz it was original)...no change. Another new development is failure to make 1st gear when I come to a stop. Tries to roll out in second.

Out of hope for this 200R4.

I had the same problem, you are having, it started after a re-build! Accept along with all your stuff it would shift 1-2 at WOT tried everything including pulling the pan 5 times to check the gov.,VB,TCC solenoid "thinking new one was junk", stuff like that, and pulled the VB3 times, and pulled out the 2 gear shift servo, to adjust band clearances 3 times, STILL NO LUCK:mad: just bought a built trans from Brian H.
