out of boredom all day I thought of one I would like to build and use for a DD when I win the lottery;) Red notchback lx with grey interior, 5spd car. 8.8 thunderbird TC rear and suspension, Cobra R wheels. Here's where the fun starts: 87-88 turbo 2.3 with a frontmount or stock location with the SVO style hood. I know a buick v6 would be what everyone else would go with, but I'm not a fan of crossbreeding. I know those 2.3 turbos are capable of 11s. It would have some damn good gas mileage too

I have one (SVO), great mileage and brutal acceleration for a 4-banger.

Those little turbo 4bangers can get the job done~

check out the early 90s ford escort cosworth. The cosworth was a awd turbo rally edition. Not sure how many ford made, but they are rare and amazing cars. I think most went to europe.

A guy I work with has a red 1986 SVO Mustang. He's had it forever and a day. He recently just bought a front mount, header, intake, cam, ported head, and a larger TB. Eveything was through Stinger. Now he's trying to figure out what turbo to get for it. He's not a drag racer. He likes to do the curvey curve thing. So the turbo can't be to big or it will lag to much.

Yeah I checked up on those a bit, look to be expensive and hard to get parts for. Speaking of cosworth cars, my friend had a cosworth cavalier way back in the day. RIght hand drive and all! Bought it from somebody out in california. He still regrets getting rid of it.

I always thought it would be cool to turbo one of the old late 80s escort gt's. I had a friend that had one back in high school and he was gonna try turbocharging it until some stupid girl smashed the side of it in.

Last summer there was a guy selling off his turbo fords on eBay. He must have had over 50 svo mustangs and thunderbird turbocoupes. Everything went rediculously cheap. I wished I was closer to Cali.
