They at first didn't even want to have any parts of replacing my intercooler because they thought it was an add-on. After I straightened that out and it come up under their listing here is what they say can be gotten new and price:

- GM intercooler....$548.00
- GM radiator....$99.00
- GM hood....$708.00

I have a Be-Cool radiator and a Cotton FM. The FM is about $1100 and the radiator is close to $650.00. Of course I want to go back with the same pieces. I may be able to get the Be-Cool fixed but haven't taken it out yet to see (don't want the insurance company to have any excuse). The FM looks like a loss for my purpose. At this point I have to send receipts and battle my point I guess. Nothing new I guess because when my first GN burned in a fire they offered $3500.00 for it. Getting an appraiser involved netted 10k so I am prepared.

Does anyone know if in fact these pieces are available new? They said they computer listing is updated constantly with what is/isn't available at GM. According to them these pieces are. If they aren't I have a stronger arguement....I think
:D

if you've got reciepts you shouldn't have any problems.as you well know,it's the claim guy's job to low ball you right off the bat in hopes you'll shrug your shoulders and take the screwing.

btw,if you end up with a new fm drop me a line,i'd like to see if i can fix your core(in my tig class)and swap it into my hotair:cool: .

good luck dood...

You might be hard pressed to get aftermarket parts covered.
The insurance company charged you premiums as if you had a stocker, can't really blame them.

Just like those 70's vans with the murals, the aftermarket paint isn't covered unless you get extra insurance for it.

Good luck.

More than likely they don't have a radiator, intercooler or hood in stock. Heck, when my GN was stolen, they couldn't even get the rubber strip that is inbetween the window and door skin. I think they gave me a $75 credit. Most insurance is "replacement value", so if they can't replace it, I don't know what they would do.

since you are the insured here, you'll probably have a little of a fight on your hands. Who is the insurance Co.?

read the policy carefully.

Some of Those parts are available:
Hood - YES, $716.22 here
Radiator - OEM not, the one they quoted HAS to be a CHEAP AM.
IC - not.
