Looking for the passenger side mirror glass. Mine has a crack in it. I do not need the entire assembly just the OEM glass...

I have paypal standing by...

Auto glass

I been in the Auto Glass trade 30 years and you will not get OEM glass. Go to any Auto Glass Shop in your area and ask for a recut they have a book that will tell them what mirror it should be. You wont be able to tell the diffrence Trust me .

I'm sorry just saw this post. It is quicker to e-mail me back. When I get in the office Monday I'll look up what I paid for them back in 05.
shoot me an e-mail with this subject so I don't forget.

I did. And I pulled a nice piece of mirror glass from a mirror shell. However, I really had to fight with it and ended up damaging the shell.

I have asked in the past how one would swap the "guts" without causing damage but no one seems to know how...

Do you have any suggestions?

I was even thinking of soaking my mirror glass that is attached to the "guts" in some sort of dissolving solution in order to break the sealant bond from the "guts" so that I might simply use the glass...

Any thoughts?

I'd just get more from the junkyard.. after a while ya should be able to figure out how to get the glass of . I mean come on its only a little piece of glass .

I agree. Apparently, it's never been done so I'm gonna have to figure it out myself. We'll see.

Nice site. thanks.

Checked the prices... $34.00 for the mirror glass- $9.90 to ship UPS- only option $43.90 still too expensive for a little peice of mirror glass that I can get at the j/y for $1.00

You really need to stop hating a nickel because it isn't a dime. Some times things are just what they are. My opinion only. If you spent as much time posting, Removing mirrors, destroying them that some one else could use, & trying to beat the lowest prices.....

You could have just worked your job for the same amount of time........
You could spend the $41.00 for a mirror glass & still be ahead of the game. Once again my opinion.

I must be getting like Grumpy.

Thanks for your opinion. I agree that I could probably spend my time doing something else but I don't see a reason to spend $50.00 when I can spend $1.00. Just seems like common sense to me.

Anyway, I had an assembly already in hand and just went to the garage to see what I could do. Apparently, it was easier than I thought. Now I have the mirror I needed and it only cost me $1.00!:cool:

If you do a search on ebay .. look up chevy sport miror.. I pretty sure they are the same except 87-88 monte carlo ss...
