How can I tell what version my Scanmaster is, and where can I find a manual online for it ? Also... Im thinking about selling it and switching to Power logger... can anyone tell me how much it should go for? Ive seen new Ver 2.1 Scanmasters go for $280.

Thanks guys !

I think there is a sticker on top of the internal "chip" that says what version it is.

Also when you get PL you will get (or at least used to) the updated "chip" for your scanmaster to use in conjunction with PL.

Here's the owner's manual, can't help you with the version though.

I've got the PL and LOVE it. It gives you the ability to log data and review it in slo-mo and frame by frame, plus if you are having issues you can post those logs and others can view them and advise you. The down side is that you have to have a laptop connected to see what's going on.

dont sell it. use them both. the scanmaster is just to convenient, you can view it at a glance. and then review with the PL.

You use both! The PL is a laptop app that needs to be hooked up and running. You donn't need that 100% of the time. The SM is great for just driving around to monitor the essentials. Make sure you mount the SM in plain view, like on the dash!

Oh, btw, if you use a TT chip you use the SM to change the parameters of the chip. Don't know if it can be done only with the PL....

Yes it can. PL shows ALL the cells plus the active cells. Actually makes it easier.

Good to know. It still is too dangerous to look at a laptop while driving though.
