Ok, so i won this boost controller on ebay... eBay Motors: AMS-1000 Boost Controller, SUBARU MITSUBISHI NISSAN (item 220089265662 end time Mar-12-07 20:09:12 PDT)

Now.. i know darn well that these controllers are AT LEAST 850 USD, and as most of us know, if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. This guy does seem to be on the up and up, but most scam artists do.

My question is, should i pay? what if i lose my money? $585 isn't much to pay for an AMS 1000, but it's a hell of a lot to lose. I need opinions!!

Well if you use paypal, you file a to get your money back.

That is one hell of a deal if on the up and up. Like said above I would pay with pay pal and use a credit card there. That way you have to ways to come back on him. When you get it make sure it is really "new!"

Good luck that is an awesome controller!

Thanks guys, and thanks Ted, i'll probably be taking you up on your offer. I was looking at the instruction manual online, and it looks pretty complicated.

Its more like an instruction novel:D

Not to hard to figure out though
You will spen some time wiring if you want to take advantage of
all the bells and whistles

all is well, i got the controller today. looks to be in really good shape, i'm gonna hook it up tomorrow and make sure it works. I'm confused about a few things though, the nlr manual says the gm 3 bar map sensor is only good to 30psi, is that true? i got a sensor with the unit, but it doesn't say if it's the 5 bar or 6.5 bar? should i use this instead of the gm sensor?

The sensor it comes with need to be "T" d into the top of hte wastegate,It measures wastegate pressure from your c0 bottle

Ya i guess you could,I would think it would work way better with positive pressure from a c02 bottle

Great deal!!! Let me know if you need any help setting it up.

Ted, would you mind telling me how you set up the plumbing aspect? i see how it's done in the directions, but sometimes seeing a diagram of how someone actually did it is a lot easier:p

If you still can't figure it out, give me a call. I have helped several board members set their cars up with this unit.
