Fuk that! Post who he is. Is he a member here? I'd like to hear his side of the story. I usually find there are two sides of every story and the truth lies somewhere in between.

But it sounds like he beat you.

So who is he? If not a member post his info. Maybe someone down there knows of him and can tell him in person what a POS he is.

that's my thinking, my side, his side, and the truth. but i try to put myself in the other persons shoes.

i'm going to try to resolve it with him first. but it was sent to shallowater, texas

i always like to know who to be careful of myself, but i do want to remain civil, thru the whole thing he was civil.
he didn't say he was a member here, but he did mention the board in one phone conversation.

cool charlie, looking into it now.

here's the deal.

yes the block had been repaired..
i was told by 2 shops, that it was good, the starter may need to be shimmed, and to build my heart out. and these are very reputable local shops.
he had a week to talk to builders and me before the auction end.
if he didn't like it, try for the refund before working on it.
he bucthered it, then sent it back.

and i do not know his screen name here, or if he is a board member.

Paypal jacked me for $700 last year. I sold a part, the guy got it ( posted pics of it on a forum ) ... but told Paypal that the part never came.

I send paypal the receipt of shipment to HIS address, dated ... but they say I needed to have signature confirmation. I offered that to the buyer but they didnt pay extra so I didnt include it.

I lost out on the part / money ... what a CROCK.

Now I pay extra for sig confirmation for EVERYTHING I sell ---

That would be a waste of money on small priced items but it sounds like a great idea for BIG TICKET sales. I will have to keep it in mind if I am ever luckey enough to sell a big ticket item.. Seems like nobody is bidding on ebay these days.

give it time and no one will be selling on ebay.
they emailed me last week, stating that they are changing the buyer protection and now they have the right to take money from your acct. if someone isn't happy. and that if you don't like it to click a link and close your acct. and sell elswhere.

i did everything to protect me as a seller that said to do, and it didn't do any good. and i called ebay, they were very concerned - until the found out that it was being conducted, handled, and condoned by paypal. the guy told me it wasn't right, but there wasn't **** he could do.

So here's the story:
i had a block for sale, i needed the money or i would have kept it. no one on the board wanted it, so it went to ebay. it got sold to a man in texas (we'll call him mr.crook for now).

so, i list this block on ebay. i state just what it is. it is a 3.8 (109) block with billit mains that has all the machine work done. that it also has a starter bolt pad that had been re-paired. i also posted 3 or 4 pictures of the block.

i came close to bidding on this block but i can't remember why i didn't.
any way Good luck dude.

I bid on a tranny before and 3 days later I had a negative feedback because I didn't contact him immediately..I said his auction said payment due in ten days...It didn't matter though..nothing they could do...there should be an ebay jury or something..It's not right they can't do anything about ridiculous junk like this because their garbage policies say something else  anyway I hope you keep the car and get it back together sometime...any pics of the damage???

Yeah, your right. I actually ONLY ship with UPS now. They include $100 insurance and signature confirmation with everything you ship. They are more expensive than USPS on small stuff , but they are 1/2 price on the bigger stuff you ship :) ---
