I put in a new LS1 3.5 MAF and also put a translator on and the car... going crazy???

As stated above, Some history; I am moving up from the stock application.. I put the MAF on (it has 4inch pipe) if matters, Then I added the Translator and tried to start it... Well it started but the SES light came on, and sounded like it was running on 4cly... The program I tried was on, on, on, off... Help please.. Also not sure if this is the rt section for translator questions

What chip and what are the knobs set to?

first time i installed mine,i had the sensor on backwards,arrow going right way?mine ran horribly,smoked etc.

Follow the translator harness and maf adapter to make sure all the pinks and blacks line up.

the knobs are set to base=0 and WOT=0 and TT6.1.... green, That was the first thing I thought, but it is correct... IT seemed so RIch, Smoke Black, car runs on 116 and I couldn't smell it... it had some other odder terrible
