I stripped a thread in my GN'1s :o(

I was putting the intake back on and ended up cross threading one of the bolts. I tried to fix it with a Heli coil but it seemed like i was messing it up even more. Can a machine shop easily fix this? how much you think it'll run me? Freakin car is nickle and diming me to death not to mention just gettin on my damn nerves!

Exactly how is the helicoil messing it up more?? Did you drill the hole slightly larger than the helicoil size?? If I remember correctly, you should use a 25/64" bit.

sounds like a easy fix with the head off engine, i put in a thread insert inrocker arm shaft hole with head on in car, good luck,oc,
