I take it this isn't a "Normal" paint job

I've been meaning to ask but haven't gotten around to it until now.

Yes,.. I'm going to get my car painted but,....

I have a thin red and yellow (same color as the power 6 logo)
pinstriping job around the car. Looks like it came that way from the dealer way back when.

Is this normal? If I can get away without having this re-done it would be great. All black right?

Just wondering. Have been looking at MANY pictures of peoples rides and no one else seems to have this. If it wasn't standard I think I'm just gonna have it go away.

A-

I have never heard of that before. Maybe a dealer thing, but could also have been a little "customizing" that someone did to it themselves.

What kind of car is it? If it's a GN I would just paint it black unless you like having the stripe.

Just my thoughts.

"Normal" paint job

I've seen one, it was an '85, but only a single red stripe. Much better solid black!!

my 84 T-Type has dealer applied $40 Pin Stripes that are
black and red in the center. They separate the black and gray
paint on a WH1. The other options listed without a RPO code:

75 Body Side Molding
648 Rust-proofing, Fabric Treatment, Gloss Treatment, Sound Treatment
414 Destination Charge

I do like them!
See a photo on my Buick page.

"Normal" paint job

Hey ed, beautiful cars! i've been to your site before though, and yes, you are very lucky. i own an '86 GN which i bought in '89. sadly, it's fallen into disrepair (still in running condition, but a lot of small things to fix). I'll never forget the first time i floored it!! And by the way, i meant no disresptect about the pinstripe, it's just my personal opinion!

off on a tangent

You woulden't happen to be hell-bound while you are at it?
