I think my sons PS2 took a dump tonight?

The CD/DVD door will stick going in and out, and if you force it feels stuck.

Any ideas, should I try and salvage it or just go PS3 or XBOX or what. They dont play a lot, just when friends come over, maybe 1-2 hrs a week.

If they don't play alot then get a new PS2....they are only $129.

The PS3 a still expensive and from what I understand in order to make them cheaper they are no longer backward compatible to play PS 1 and 2 games.

360 I love mine. The thing with them is they are hit and miss. I won mine from Moutain Dew...that every 10 minutes contest they had before the came out and it is still going strong. (knock on wood) But my brother is on his 4th one since they came out because of the Red Ring of Death.

Ya, you can no longer get the 80 gig model, which was the only one that was backward comapable with PS2.
