I went Mach 1.03 and 9.2 Gs!

After much anticipation I finally got my F-16 incentive ride yesterday. All I can say is "Holy Sh*t" It was awesome. I got to fly the jet and do most of the maneuvers including a 5G turn, an aileron roll, and a loop. We did the full on afterburner takeoff which made my 9 second Buick feel like a YUGO, then pulled vertical till 18000 feet did a slow roll over. We did a couple simulated attacks and some low level stuff which really gives you the sense of speed. It was definitely one of the most intense things I've ever done. As a bonus I didn't even need my airsick bag. Although it took about 6 hours to recover.

Work for them... but even then you have to be lucky and in the right place to get one. Not much chance I'll ever get one unless somehow they start taking lab geeks, best ride I've gotten is a dang KC-135R StratoBladder.

Cool, i had the same experienc a couple years ago with mu buddy Crash. The best part was the 8G loop after which he said holy S$%t i've never done a loop like that before were'd you lear to fly. i used to word on the 16 sim at edwards so i had hundreds of hrs of stick time. Glad you got your ride Scott.

I would cut my left nut off with a dull rusty knife to have an opportunity to do that! I grew up around an Air Force base, they would fly over our house a few times a year, they were so low you would swear they were about to take the tops of the trees off.
