This movie has so much potential to be awesome, so I hope they don't screw it up. Also, it's really too bad they couldn't get James Gandolfini to play Richard.

Amazing!! I hadn't seen this book in yrs,yesterday i dug it up,+ was telling a friend about it,+ now i come across this post.
I didn't even know they were making a movie about it.
There is a guy at the gym i have been telling about the ice-man,He is the spitting image of kuklinski,so i call him the ice-man everytime i see him,now he will be able to watch the movie.
ps the book is excellent,+ so is the hbo interview with kuklinski, if you havn't seen it.
There are parts of the interview on you tube also.

Yup, I've seen the HBO interviews before, never read the book though. I'll get around to it one of these days. Like I said though, this should be an awesome movie if they don't screw it up.

Yup! i'll definetly watch it,not thrilled with the guy who they chose to play him tho, one of the scary things about kuklinski is he didn't look too dangerous other then his size,he just looked like he could be your next door neighbor,but was a cold as ice killer with no remorse.
The guy in that clip looks like an ax murderer,+ he also doesn't look like kuklinski at all.
I think Brian Dennehy would have been a better candidate,unless he looks to old now,i havn't seen him in a while.

Whats happening in that clip is he is killing mr Softee,He was an ex mercenary i think + they used to call him Mr Softee because he drove an ice Cream truck around+ sold ice cream to kids, He was like Kuklinski's mentor + taught him how to kill in a bunch of different ways including,
cyanide, which is what he took from him + sprayed up his nose after he shot him.
Kuklinski killed some people by putting cyanide in a drink + then spilling it on a person + it would soak thru the skin + kill the person,+ cyanide doesn't show up in autopsies if they are not looking specifically for it,possibly not at all.
So he would just see his target bump into them spill his drink on them + walk away basically unnoticed + the guy would die shortly after + by then he would be gone + nobody even suspected him.
Mr Softee taught him that.
Kuklinski liked mr softee too,but once he mentioned his family,mr Softee was a gonner, he kept his family life to himself + his killing + shady friends etc. totally seperate from his family, he killed 1 or 2 other people who mentioned his family in a threat against him also.
Kuklinski claims over 100 kills,between his own killings + killing for the mafia.
If you like true crime ,the book is interesting reading,
