FWIW & IMHO:
I believe that might be what is called a "Silverfish".
I do not know if that is a "slang" or actual name.
Ugly, though, and I don't know if I have ever seen one as big as that appears to be.

yup its a silverfish, I believe it is a centipede or type of centipede.

EDIT: I guess it's just a centipede, a silverfish looks like this
I have seen them and people have called them silverfish, and so do I, but I guess I was wrong.

Here is a picture of a house centipede ,looks like what you posted.

Thats not the kind of silverfish we have here. In FL they are silver, squishy, and dont have those giant arms. Here they only eat paper.

if im right this one came in a close container that came from china.. at least thats what the person said..

Silverfish. My wife had one crawl across her face in bed one night. Thank God for 24 Hour Home Depot. I had to go buy a gallon of bug spray and spray the whole house at 2 A.M. before she would let me go back to sleep. Creepy looking things, but I think they are harmless.

That's the most viscious looking silverfish I've ever seen. If I saw that in my house I'd move.....
