ok. had trans rebuilt, after a few servo problems, was shifting GREAT under part throttle, WOT and just driving around. only slight concern was WOT shift at 4800,not a real big deal on a street car. had some one look at the TV adjustment. went out for ride and now it would not shift out of 1st, would hit rev limiter @6200, i would let off and trans would shift at 5500. tons of TV adjustments, bracket bending and tire smoke later and same thing. part throttle shifts are now about 1000 higher, like the trans has to think about shifting before it shifts. asked about the "spring" in the servo and was told that it was rivited in and that a hole was drilled in the servo ( which i knew about the hole as it was installed in front of me ) put every setting back to the way it was and this problem wont go away. has about a 1/2qt extra fluid in it, stock trans cooler, ( was on the cold side the day of the adjustments ) i had gone for 2 long rides before the adjustments in 80degree weather and worked GREAT! car made 360 hp at the wheels on the dyno last year and 500ft-tq. had the heads gasket matched and changed to 60lb injectors from ford blue tops. car is a one legger on 275/60 BFG d/r's. so all it really does is smoke the TIRE through 2nd. running right around 20lbs of boost with Torco 110. i have an offer to have the trans bought back for $1200, giving the 2800 restalled stocker,dipstick,TV cable and getting a "core" long tail BOP th400, and detent to retain the stock shifter. i really dont want to lose OD..ITS A STREET CAR! it doesnt make that much power, what is the malfunction!?
