How do you like the results of your 61 on the street? I'm wanting to upgrade, I'm just concerned it's going to be laggy, I'm running a 9" Art Carr 3000/3200 stall and my 49 is a rocket, just hate to lose that.

I'm also so wondering if I'd have to upgrade my chip again?
 
I bet I know someone fairly local to you that can answer any question you have concerning the "streetability" of the 61 turbos... ;)

With a 3000 or 3200 stall, you'll be very happy, course thats why your 44 spools lightning fast too. It will be a little slower than the 44, but the force pushing you back in the seat at 24# will be much more and well make up for it. You can also get a GT61 with the smaller 31E exhaust wheel that is in the TE44...thats what I have with a 2700 stall convertor and am very happy with it...I had a stock turbo before 6 months ago with the same combo and it was insta-boost with it.

I went from a 44 to a 62 (with a 9-11 3200 conv.)----boost is immediate(.63 housing--i also have a .82---can tell a bit of lag with this----but the top end is WELL worth it)-----very,very nice upgrade IMO.
Hope you have fun at F'ington.

IM me if you want to know the diff. in times vs. boost of these two turbos.
