So I was cruising 'round the mountain tonight. I deliberately drove past one of my dad's neighbors' house where they have a gaggle of VWs. They like to rev at my brother and I a lot so I thought I'd spool up while driving past their house to see if they were there. Nope.

So I went around the block and noticed that someone had marked the pavement on a deserted road with a burnout. This is where I turned into a child, or a dog, or both. I couldn't let this wimpy burnout stand without marking the territory as well. I swung around, slowed to a stop, spooled up the turbo, let off the brakes and held on for dear life. I hit a dip in the road which upset the suspension and the car got too sideways for my liking. I could've laid a patch the entire length of the road but things were getting ugly fast. So I let up. Still, I think I put the wimpy burnout to shame.

We'll see if whoever left the first burnout attempts to do better.

I don't know which is more childish. Marking my territory, taking pictures, or immediately posting it on the 'net.

Looks like a mature thing to do myself as everyother Buick owner would think too.

Funny Jim, but I always feel bad doin' burn outs on that road cause Dan's parents have to look at it every time they pull out of their driveway and go down that road. Lol. However, it does make a great test and tune road.

I figure it's the price they pay for the seclusion. They'll get over it.

That's O.K. I'm sure that Yota pick up in the picture probably belongs to a hunter who I'm guessing wasn't there to bird watch on that private property.

Yeah, that dude was shootin' - I heard the gunshots. He was trespassing. If I had stayed in the throttle I'd have knocked that 'Yota into next week. You can see my tire tracks were headed that way.....
