Hey everyone i just freshened the Stock block bolted on a set of Champion Ported GN1s and comp roller 218/214 . along with the inj the Precision intake , TB .......etc . Got it running yeasterday , everything looking good . So making a long story short on a short ride i got into it a little , which was in retrospect a bad idea , and the oil Pressure i noticed dropping , and i hear tapping im like Fu9K this isnt good .I go the 3 blocks home and Pull in now its REAL LOW the Oil psi , shut it off . i find the part on the oil pump and front cover that holds the spring has somehow backed out almost the whole way . I tighten it back up but its too late , knock and lifter noise . Prob. from them bleading down . Car is also blowing big time smoke , rings got wreaked too im guessing . So the motor has to come back out and being winter has just started i will have to wait until spring . Im pretty not happy to make an understatement . These are the times i want to throw a 572 crate motor in the car and say Fu6k the 3.8 turbo gig . Which i may just do depending how annoyed i get . At least the only thing i had in the Shortblock was studs , bearings and rings . So at least if it has to become a pool cover holder / flower pot etc i dont have any expensive parts into it . I would have prefered to destroy the motor doing a 10 sec pass if it had to happen .
