What do you guys use to connect the Impala SS MAF to the black plastic MAF pipe ?

The K+N fits on the other side of it but the hose won't fit on the other side. The MAF is a bit too big.

Is there an adapter or something to use here ?

The best thing for you to do is to get rid of that ugly wrinkle pipe.
Here is a link to a company that sells a n aluminum maf pipe.
http://www.buickgn.com/hotairbigmouthkits.htm

There are probably other companies to, check around. The aluminum pipe looks very nice and probably creates a lot less turbulance in the airflow than the stock wrinkle pipe.

A little filing on the black pipe and the maf will fit in there nice and snug.

I didn't think you could run the impala maf with out the translator on the car?

You can't.

My Translator is on order with Ramchargers and i'm hoping it'll be here shortly.

Thanks all.

Who's got the best price on a SS MAF pipe ? Anyone know ? They seem pricey....

Check the camaro site (you can run theirs too) It seems to me they have them refurbished in their for sale section and they are rather inexpensive compared to new. I know I read that somewhere.....

and expensive part for a grand national?
noooo way
you have to be kidding !!!!!!!!!!!!!
SAY IT AIN'T SOOOOOOOOO
lol

sorry, had to :D :D

Anyone know if you have to re-locate the purge canister (D/S front under hood) when you use one of those shiny chrome MAF cold-air kits from Black T-TYPE's link above ?

Doesn't look like there's much room ther...even after the canister is removed. Don't tell me you gotta cut the metal there too....

No you don't have to cut anything. The elbow fits through the hole behind the headlight.

Thanks guys.

With that - i'm getting closer to buying it.
Its just parting with the $240 USD....

but man is it nice....
