Hello all! I've been in and out of this forum, which honestly matches how I've been with my GN.
Bottom line, I am looking for someone that is more than capable, and willing to help get my GN where it should be.
About my GN, it is an 87, all stock, about 60K miles. My dad got it in 1989 and I have had it since about 2005.
My dad and I have recently started the get it cl and up again, but I am getting the growing feeling that the remaining items are tasks that require a bit more time commitment needed than we are able to provide.
So, I am looking for someone that can help with this. For reference, I am in Indy, but don't mind traveling a bit to drop off. Obviously, I will only be dropping it off to reputable people.
So, a quick rundown of some of the issues to address:
- minor body work (surface rust in spots around the windshield, address any damage from some lovely person keying the car)
- new windshield
- paint (I'm not paint expert, but probably requires a strip and redo)
- air conditioning doesn't blow cold air (possibly just recharging)
- brake master cylinder leak (address leak and clean area around leak)
- the oil filler neck came off and oil was spitting around the engine compartment. Need to clean this up as much as possible
- when coming to a stop, the car somewhat lurches around 3 mph. Can't tell what it is. Tranny, RPM too low?
- A general checkup and maintenance (fuel filter, transmission fluid, etc )
I assume there will probably other things here and there that come up, but those are the main items
Does the group have any recommendations? I've heard @TurboBuRick tossed out a couple different times. I'm open to discuss with anyone reputable honestly.
