I'm looking for new speakers for the daily driver and was wondering if anyone had luck with the Infinity Reference line. I need 4x6 plate for up front and 6x9 in the rear... Looking at the 5010cs and 6412cfp. I will be running them off of a regular aftermarket headunit (haven't picked yet) which should be rated at 50x4 as most are.

man i hate them,i had a vette and replaced my 5 year old boston plates(that still worked fine) with them, and within 1 year they were rotted out, they replaced them under warranty and i sold the car to my close friend who also had to replace them for the same reason,my mobile stereo guy said they are great speakers, but were in the sun?..so anyway i installed them again in my suburban, with a dash cover over them, and now 2 years later the front right is cracking, dont buy them they are junk,im not sure what im getting now, maybe if they still make the boston pro plates ill buy them again..i had the capas in my jag and they sounded fine, but were not on the dash..

come to think of it a buddy of mine had Infinity's and they did the same thing up in the dash. Mine will be going in the door FWIW.

I've got Infinity's ( 3052i in the dash, 652i in the door pods and Kappa 693's in the rears ,plus an Infinity Basslink in the trunk which absolutly rocks btw! ) in the GN and they sound awesome, never had problem with them rotting out or anything. Best sound you can put in a car, imo
