Does anybody know where to get injectors flow matched in or near the san fernando valley?

i dont know of any place right off the top of my head but there are plunty of vendors here that do a fast turn around time. i sent mine to cody motorsports and the turn around time was pretty quick.

I've heard people talking about flow matching injectors for awhile now... is there that much benefit to be gained? I sort of assumed as long as you were buying quality injectors that they came pretty close from the factory. Is there that much performance or dependability to be gained by getting them flow matched? I would not have thought there was enough variance from injector to injector to really make that big a difference (except maybe on an uber-fast car... but im guessing none of us hot-air guys are running in the 10's or 9's these days).

when you buy injectors there very close to what they say they are. when we are talking about this where pretty much talking about there injector are old or suspected something is wrong so they send them off to get cleaned and flowed. this will tell us if one or more of the injectors are flowing alot less or a different spray pattern then the rest. i sent my injectors off because i thought one was stuck open but come to find out they where in great working order. you will get a flow sheet back of what they flow if there is anything wrong and what not. there not doing anything to the injectors to make them flow more or less there just cleaning and inspecting.

Ohhhh, so this is mainly a procedure to R&R old used injectors? I thought it was something people did to new ones to make them even better, or something along those lines.. thanks for clearing that up, and sorry luisturbog, as I just realized I kinda jacked your thread.

You flow match new injectors. The manufacturer has a ton of them and they flow all of them and pair the ones that flow the closest to each other.

For old injectors you can flow them to make sure they flow ok and within a certain % of each other but besides cleaning them, there's really nothing you can do if they don't flow the same.

If you think it's not important, think about how worried people are about intakes flowing evenly. Then ask yourself how you would feel if one cylinder ran 5% richer/leaner than the rest. You will never be able to tune the rest of the cylinders to their potential.

Cody Motorsports in Georgia. Less than $100. It's worth it to know they are right!
